Charity for Health Camp
"Health is the greatest gift, contentment the greatest wealth, faithfulness the best relationship."
Healthcare costs are one of the key reasons why poor people at the borderline fall into poverty and are unable to escape it. They are forced to spend a significant amount of their savings or fall into debt to pay for rising healthcare bills. In order to enable preventive healthcare, we at Maskin Welfare Foundation have found that Medical camps help in identification of diseases and health problems early and bring down the cost and time of treatment.
Health is important to live life to the fullest. When a person leads a healthy lifestyle, the body remains healthy and the mind is active and fresh. Living a healthy life would extend longevity and also regenerate the body and mind. Having good health is of core importance to human happiness.
Happiness is the highest form of Health
Life without good health is like an army without soldiers and chocolate without cocoa. Health is important to live life to the fullest. The state of complete physical, mental and spiritual well-being is called health. Health consists of maintaining the body and taking preventive measures to reduce the possibility of developing various diseases. Health is the body’s natural functional and metabolic efficiency to adapt to physical and mental changes the body is exposed to. Physical health of a person means the body is not affected by any disease whereas mental or social health is characterized by the ability of a person to accomplish various social tasks given to him.
Ill health, in turn, is a major cause of poverty. This is partly due to the costs of seeking health care, which include not only out-of-pocket spending on care (such as consultations, tests and medicine), but also transportation costs and any informal payments to providers. As more people used their savings, borrowing to support medical expenses fell from 24.9% in 2014 to 13.4% in 2017 in rural areas, and from 18.2% to 8.5% in urban areas, data show. Over half of hospitalisations in India (51.9% in rural and 61.4% in urban) are in private hospitals.
"Health is the state of complete harmony of the body, mind and spirit. When one is free from physical disabilities and mental distractions, the gates of the soul open. "
Maskin Welfare Foundation has also arranged health camps and provided free medical advice, and medicine to the unfortunate people and refer to specialized treatment or surgery whenever it is required. These camps make sure people are getting healthcare at the right time, and seeing the doctor early enough before a small health problem turns serious. A small contribution from your side can create a great impact on someone's life. One can live longer and healthier only when the individual gets the right kind of health check-up, screening, and treatments. Even the most basic check-up’s can identify underlying illnesses.
